Your Dog's ToeGrips®
Affixing ToeGrips® to the nails with glue is an alternate application method we recommend for dogs with an altered gait, such as three-legged dogs or dogs who drag or scuff their paws. This altered gait tends to tug ToeGrips® off the nails. Super Glue is the simple solution to keep them securely in position.
Try without glue first. We recommend applying ToeGrips® without glue to be sure you're comfortable with application and placement — then use glue only if needed, as evidenced by the grips falling off quickly.
Applying ToeGrips with glue is not necessary for most senior dogs. However, it is recommended for dogs who have trouble keeping ToeGrips on, especially:
We recommend Scotch® Super Glue Gel

Set the super glue tube on a paper plate (to catch any drips) along with 16 ToeGrips. (When using glue, there is no need to use isopropyl rubbing alcohol.)
The glue will dry fast, so practice applying ToeGrips first without the glue.
While holding a ToeGrip in one hand, squeeze a dab of super glue inside the hole.
Immediately push the ToeGrip onto the nail tip and quickly position according to the "How to Apply ToeGrips" instructions.
To break the bond of the glue, loosen the top edge of the ToeGrip with your fingernail and then peel the ToeGrip downward off the nail. If residue remains on the toenails after removal, ToeGrips can be applied right over it.
