Benefits of ToeGrips® for Dogs

Dogs use their toenails for traction. But hard nails can't grip slippery floors.
Toe grippers for dogs are the natural solution because they:

  • Provide instant paw traction for dogs on hard-surface flooring
  • Don't require gluing to your dog's nails
  • Are made for indoor/outdoor use
  • Can be worn all the time
  • Only need to be replaced every one to three months

If your senior dog is slipping on hard floors, you may be feeling helpless. But now, there's an easy solution to help stop your dog from slipping on floors once and for all: ToeGrips, the original dog nail grips.

Frequently asked questions

The non-slip nail grips fit onto your dog’s toenails to enable instant traction on hard-surface floors and stairs.

ToeGrips® dog nail grips typically last 1-3 months, two months on average. “Mileage” will vary based on your dog’s size, environment, and gait. The more abnormal your dog’s gait, the faster ToeGrips® dog nail grips will wear.

Most people assume this is a common scenario, but 97% of dogs do not bother with or chew at their ToeGrips® dog nail grips. In fact, most dogs don’t even seem to notice them, which makes sense because ToeGrips® dog nail grips sit on the poorly innervated nail tip, as opposed to covering skin/soft tissue of the paws and paw pads.

As a veterinarian, ingestion was one of Dr. Buzby’s primary concerns years ago when bringing ToeGrips® dog nail grips to the marketplace. She consulted with several colleagues, including surgeons, about this issue and everyone agreed that based on the size of dog and size of corresponding ToeGrips® dog nail grips, they should pass right through a dog’s GI tract. To date, that has always been the case. Furthermore, ToeGrips® dog nail grips are FDA-certified non-toxic.

Almost instantly improved confidence!

My dog took to them immediately, and she was able to jump up on the bed, and navigate all the hard surfaces at our home in a much better way!

Sophie’s Toe Grios

Sophie is 14. Toe grips were placed on her claws by veterinarian staff. Front grips came off within a few days. Back paw grips have stayed on. Sophie is better able to control getting her back legs under herself when rising to a standing position.

Thank you for your honest feedback. I am delighted to hear that Sophie has better traction getting up with her ToeGrips. Our customer care team is going to reach out to you to see if we can help improve your experience with the ToeGrips on the front paws. I'm optimistic that we have a way to fix this issue. ;) And many thanks to your veterinarian staff for helping with the ToeGrips. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review.

Absolutely love these

I’m so happy with how these are working!! Dalli is an 11 and a half year old pug and experiencing muscle loss in her back legs from arthritis, and these have given her a little more confidence walking around our hard floors. My only issue isn’t very big, it’s just that some of her claws are smaller/ bigger than the others. We originally ordered a size small, as that was recommended for her breed and weight, but they only fit on a few of her claws. Even with the few we were able to get on, she was doing well and had a decent grip on our floors. I ordered a size up that came in recently and while all of them went on, now we’re having the issue of a few of them falling off of her smaller claws. I still really love them and it’s such a joy seeing her run and play like she used to!!

fabulous idea

I am so happy I decided to buy these. They were very easy to put on, and our Newfoundland has not been bothered by them at all. I recommend them very highly. I would give them 5 stars for ease of use. I am only slightly sad that they have only helped 50% of the way. It is much easier for our 140 pound boy to get up, but he does still slip a little on our hardwood and tile floors. Still very happy that I purchased as I dont think he would have tolerated any kind of brace.

They really work :)

These Toegrips work wonderfully for my Bruiser. He is an 11 yrs old english bulldog. Before the Toegrips, Bruiser were sliding and having a hard time walking on our hardwood floor. His walk improved immediately after I put these Toegrips on him. Now, I just have to see how long these will stay on/last for him. Thank you!!

They Work! Size Does Matter

I ordered my first set of Toe Grips (x-small). I had trouble getting them on and they fell off within a day or two. I called and they sent me the next size up free of charge. The new size small went on much easier and have stayed on. My yorkie’s traction is so much better! She can even run and play ball on our hardwood floors! I’m a customer for life!

Sizing

Per breed a size is recommended and while I have a rottie she is large so I sized up. That size just fits her back paws and kinda a struggle to get on them but too small for front. Wonder if there’s a better way to size??
