ToeGrips are a must-have for our spaniel who is elderly and can’t hold herself up on the wood floor without slipping unless she’s wearing her ToeGrips.
She went from skipping on her toes to putting 90% of her weight on her bad leg as soon as I put these on! No more wipe outs on my hard floors and she’s excited for walks!
I tried the ToeGrips. Since then—and it has been almost a month—no more slipping, even with lots of snow during that time (Illinois), and the ToeGrips stayed in place even with him going outside to potty!
Once we put these grips on two weeks ago, she’s about 98% better—able to run and keep her feet under her! They’ve stayed on the whole time too—wonderful!
Harley, my 14 yr old pug, could not walk on our tile floors without falling several times a day. Harley can now maneuver throughout the house without falling.—we have even seen him run a time or two.
Our 10 year old beagle has had a hard life unfortunately with horrible arthritis and spine issues. ToeGrips have changed her life as she is a constant mover now—I dearly wish I would have found these sooner.
He was given a medication which caused ataxia and my poor old man could barely move without falling over. They provided the needed stability to prevent him from falling. It was truly amazing.
We moved into a new home that has hardwood floors. These toe grips were a game changer—Kaiya walks everywhere now. We will definitely be ordering more.
An immediate change in your dog's freedom and mobility
If your dog can walk on carpet or grass but struggles on hardwood floors or smooth surfaces due to age, arthritis, surgery, or disability, Dr. Buzby’s ToeGrips dog nail grips can help.
ToeGrips have helped thousands of dogs worldwide including:
The non-slip nail grips fit onto your dog’s toenails to enable instant traction on hard-surface floors and stairs.
ToeGrips® dog nail grips typically last 1-3 months, two months on average. “Mileage” will vary based on your dog’s size, environment, and gait. The more abnormal your dog’s gait, the faster ToeGrips® dog nail grips will wear.
Most people assume this is a common scenario, but 97% of dogs do not bother with or chew at their ToeGrips® dog nail grips. In fact, most dogs don’t even seem to notice them, which makes sense because ToeGrips® dog nail grips sit on the poorly innervated nail tip, as opposed to covering skin/soft tissue of the paws and paw pads.
As a veterinarian, ingestion was one of Dr. Buzby’s primary concerns years ago when bringing ToeGrips® dog nail grips to the marketplace. She consulted with several colleagues, including surgeons, about this issue and everyone agreed that based on the size of dog and size of corresponding ToeGrips® dog nail grips, they should pass right through a dog’s GI tract. To date, that has always been the case. Furthermore, ToeGrips® dog nail grips are FDA-certified non-toxic.
These have been a life extender for our dog, Suki. She's almost 17 1/2 now, and has severe arthritis but still loves running around on the farm. She was sliding on the linoleum and although we did the runners and small rugs for her to walk on, she frequently got off the 'path'. If we weren't there to help her get up again, she would often make a mess on the floor in her struggle. 😔 My vet recommended toe grips to me, and I bought a set.
After soaking the grips in alcohol for 3 minutes, I had trouble getting them on and decided they were too small. Customer service sent me a link to start the exchange process, But I noticed another video I hadn't seen and watched it. It convinced me that I probably DID have the correct size and I tried again... this time, I soaked the grips in alcohol for a full 5 minutes. I got them all on! I sent a picture to customer service rep, Teri, who noticed I had a couple misplaced (too far up the toe). So I adjusted them--that was incredibly helpful! Suki is doing so much better on the linoleum now. I'm grateful for this product and wish the vet had recommended them a year ago!!
When I saw the fb ad for these ToeGrips, I was ecstatic!! Before seeing it, I was planning on buying a bunch of area rugs and runners for Max to be able to get around the house safer. I have all laminated hardwood floors, which as dog owners know, are incredibly difficult for any dog to maneuver on, let alone my almost 14yr. old, Max. He still lives to play fetch and run around the house, but it’s dangerous for him currently. I was thrilled to seen these as a potential solution. The site recommended purple, however, since he’s overweight + ideally should be closer to 70Ibs, I should’ve ordered the green ones. Customer service reached out to me almost immediately after I expressed my concern. They’re sending me the large ones and I can’t wait to see how much better they work, now that they’ll be sized correctly. Despite the purple (xl) ones being too big for Max, they still helped tremendously. I’ll update this review once he tries out the greens ones!! :-) So far, I love the company and the product!! :-)
Our dog is 17 and this product definitely is helping prevent him from splaying on tile! Great product and so glad we found it!
My little Yorkiepoo who is my service dog as well has been having difficulty going down stairs and jumping onto a hard surface. I started with the size small as he is borderline between size small and medium. The smalls were so difficult to get on it took forever to get one on and I had to call my neighbor to help. I had to take them off when he needed a nail trim and couldn’t imagine going through that again for my sake and his. I called customer service and an actual human answered the phone. She couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding. Within a week she had the mediums delivered. Amazing how much easier they were on both of us!
He is finding his confidence again and jumping up and down from my bed with ease.
This is not only a great product but the costumer service is exceptional.
Many thanks,
Mary & Jo 💕.
At first, Luna felt insecure about walking on the hardwood floor, as she always does. However, when she noticed the grip of the surface, her confidence grew, and she began to walk without any issues. Now, she is really happy. I tried adding some carpets for her to walk on, but that didn't work well; she still slipped sometimes. This new solution, however, is truly effective.
Well I will tell you that I was skeptical. I tried booties with my other dog and putting Runners everywhere in my house. But I still couldn't shake the feeling of being worried that my pup would fall. Fast forward a few more years and now my first pup is gone but my second pup is going through the same thing. I happened upon an advertisement for these toe grips and thought what the heck. Oh my gosh they are game changer! Not only does my dog not even fight them at all, they work! They give traction on slippery floors immediately! I've also found that if you see them start to wear you can take them off and turn them around and put the Fresh side toward the back of the nail and it's like getting a second free pair. My dog loses a couple here and there but it's really easy to get new ones back on. I cannot recommend these enough!
We've tried everything but this solution works. Our dog doesn’t mind them on her and has much improved mobility because of the added traction. Highly recommended but make sure you get the right size.
My 16yo heeler/pit mix didn’t struggle too much with slick floors, but noticed it was taking him effort to find traction at times. We tried out the toe grips and feel that they do provide him some additional support which we appreciate at 16yo.
My 17 year old JRT had been skating on our hard floors for a while. She just couldn't walk confidently any more. I decided to take a chance on these toe grips. I applied them only to her back feet to see how they worked. She is so much more confident! After a week they are all still on and haven't migrated at all. I may apply to her front feet, but I am not sure if I really need to. I am very happy with how these have helped her mobility!
My tripod Anatolian Shepherd has one back leg—and wouldn’t you know it, that’s the leg with a CCL tear. She was constantly slipping, especially on that one leg, and we’ve tried a lot of things to help. But I’m not about to turn my entire house into an obstacle course of floor runners.
Then I found Dr. Buzby’s ToeGrips—and wow. The difference was immediate. She’s not sliding around like Bambi on ice anymore. Even my dad noticed (which never happens), and friends have commented on how much more stable she seems. It’s honestly been such a relief to see her walk around with more confidence.
One of the best parts? Before I even received the product, the team asked me to tell them more about my dog. When I mentioned she was a tripod, they immediately let me know she’d need glue for better grip—and then included a complimentary bottle. That kind of thoughtful, proactive support is rare.
We’re still working on perfecting the glue application. They’ve fallen off a handful of times, which can be time-consuming and a little frustrating. But every time I’ve reached out, their customer service has been super responsive and genuinely helpful, working with me to figure out the best way to keep them on.
So far? Game-changer. Great product, great people, and my dog is finally getting some traction—literally.
