Benefits of ToeGrips® for Dogs

Dogs use their toenails for traction. But hard nails can't grip slippery floors.
Toe grippers for dogs are the natural solution because they:

  • Provide instant paw traction for dogs on hard-surface flooring
  • Don't require gluing to your dog's nails
  • Are made for indoor/outdoor use
  • Can be worn all the time
  • Only need to be replaced every one to three months

If your senior dog is slipping on hard floors, you may be feeling helpless. But now, there's an easy solution to help stop your dog from slipping on floors once and for all: ToeGrips, the original dog nail grips.

Frequently asked questions

The non-slip nail grips fit onto your dog’s toenails to enable instant traction on hard-surface floors and stairs.

ToeGrips® dog nail grips typically last 1-3 months, two months on average. “Mileage” will vary based on your dog’s size, environment, and gait. The more abnormal your dog’s gait, the faster ToeGrips® dog nail grips will wear.

Most people assume this is a common scenario, but 97% of dogs do not bother with or chew at their ToeGrips® dog nail grips. In fact, most dogs don’t even seem to notice them, which makes sense because ToeGrips® dog nail grips sit on the poorly innervated nail tip, as opposed to covering skin/soft tissue of the paws and paw pads.

As a veterinarian, ingestion was one of Dr. Buzby’s primary concerns years ago when bringing ToeGrips® dog nail grips to the marketplace. She consulted with several colleagues, including surgeons, about this issue and everyone agreed that based on the size of dog and size of corresponding ToeGrips® dog nail grips, they should pass right through a dog’s GI tract. To date, that has always been the case. Furthermore, ToeGrips® dog nail grips are FDA-certified non-toxic.

These are soo awesome for the older dogs who can not walk well on slippery floors, I was skeptical at first and after my dog trying them, I have a subscription and will not ever let her go without, these give her self confidence and mobility back!

Toe grips

Our 13 yr old American Eskimo Lucy was having difficulties slipping on hardwood floors. She could barely walk without falling. We tried toe grips and are amazed at the results. She is walking normally without fear of slipping. She gained her confidence back. So glad these toe grips have helped her tremendously. You will see for yourself when you try them. Thanks so much.

Skeptic to believer

Read articles, watched videos and read reviews. I have a 109 lb, 11 yo golden retriever and a 90 lb 12 yo Sheppard, with a very difficult time navigating tiles floors. Lots of throw rugs around, so they can just live an easier existence.
Well, we did everything else so I figured, what do I have to lose but a few bucks. Ordered them and they came quickly. Followed the directions with soaking them and both dogs were as skeptical as I was, I think. lol Went to bed and the next morning they both were walking around on the tiled floors like they never had a problem. Now, I read the negative reviews and feel bad for those people and maybe dogs are different in how they react to them but it worked for both my dogs almost immediately. However, yes, mine lost a few outside and I guess that's a caveat I must endure but overall they worked for us and I would have to recommend them.

Great Product

I bought these toe grips for my 14 year old chihuahua. He would slip on our wood floors when running to go outside. With the toe grips on ,he can run without slipping. I only put them on his front paws. They are a little difficult to get on but worth the trouble.
They do not bother him at all.

Lily is conquering the tile floor

Since we put the toe grips on Lily’s toes (and we only use a couple per foot) she is able to walk on the floors that she’s been unable to walk on forever. Thank you so much for making these.

Keeping our 17 year old Icie going!!!

We have been using tow grips for at least three years with our beloved Icelandic sheepdog Veiga to give her grip on our hardwood floors. Over the years she has developed arthritis in all four limbs and getting up off the floor was torture for her until we found toe grips. They work well enough that we take her to our vet every week to two weeks to replace any that come off on our very rough porch stairs because when she has them all on, they make all the difference. I have never seen her try to remove one. I don’t think they bother her in the least. And a lovely blue collar had a touch of glamour to her beautiful coat.
In addition, I’ve been so impressed by the concern and the service given to me and to Veiga by the tow grips people, Dr. Buzby. They have reached out to us to see if they can help us in any other way or if we need advice on how to make the tow grips stay on Vegas nails longer. It’s like they really care about our most wonderful dog in the world . Great product, great people , great service!

No more slips!

I've been trying to find something to help my 18 year old mini poodle from falling/slipping. We have wood floors, and she was CONSTANTLY slipping and falling...sometimes her front legs would slip and she's hit her face on the floor, or her back legs would slip and she'd just tumble. She has hip dysplasia, along with arthritis, and it was so hard to watch. I've tried several brands of the grippy socks, and she'd pull them off within minutes. I gave ToeGrips a shot - totally life changing! You soak the grips in alcohol and slide onto the toe nail. It's supposed to be snug. Once dry, they were fastened on, and ready to go. She doesn't realize she has them on, and she hasn't fallen ONCE! I took her to the groomer yesterday and they were still able to trim her claws. This is the BEST product I've found to help with traction. Thank you for your product!

Amazing Product for Senior Dog!

I am SO GLAD I found this company for my 14.5 year old Brussels Griffon, Charlie.
We just moved into a new house that is all hardwood floors and he was struggling walking as he was slipping everywhere. For a senior dog he is still quite active and walks around alot so this was hard to see. My vet actually recommended this product and I am so glad she did!! It has been life changing for him. It gives him just enough grip to stop him from slipping and he doesn't even notice they are on. They were super easy to apply and fit perfectly on his toes. The guide on what size to pick for your dog was super helpful and minimized any returns due to sizing issues. My only suggestion would be to include a few "extra" toe grips as my dog has a few crooked toe nails and a few have fallen off. All in all this product is wonderful and I would HIGHLY Recommend!! Worth every penny.

Great product!

Our 9yr old GSD was recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis in her elbows, back and hips and was struggling walking on slick flooring. She required help getting up if she happened to lay down where there was no rug. Now she can get up by herself and has the traction she needs when she walks. Note the happy tail the first time she stood up with her ToeGrips! Thank you so much!

increased my doggies confidence

My 16 year old maltipoo has sards and recently went blind. She was having a terrible time navigating her new normal. Dr Buzbys grips greatly improved her traction and her confidence navigating our wood floors.
